Christmas Happened I Guess
It's been a hard week i'll be honest. The holidays have been rough for me and I won't go into it to much in this email, but I think we've got it all figured out with the mission president. This week was not the best for me and even this transfer has been rough.
The members completely took over taking care of that friend of ours that was having financial issues. A bunch of members dropped off meals and gifts for her and her family. Each of them invited her to the christmas program at church. It was a miracle and took a lot of stress off of us that we didn't need. We felt responsible for her christmas, but that wasn't the case becasue everyone can be responsible for that; if they choose to be.
Christmas Eve was fun though, we visited a member family and played some games and they told us they had a drum set and guitar. They let me and my companion play them and we just rocked out for a moment. I like playing the acoustic guitar and all, but I love the distortion and loudness of the Electric; it brings me joy.
Christmas was pretty good. There was a joint ward christmas program and us and the Elders in the other ward went to church together, helped set up chairs and greeted people coming in. We visited a member family and they were doing a white elephant thing and made us join. You never reject an invitation from Sister King less you be smited by the power of having multiple families living under one roof. That was fun and stuff. After that we went to the Stowers (Family in our Ward) and had some dinner. It wasn't what I expected becasue apparently they all just knocked out after church, so they were all really tired. But it was a good dinner none the less.
That's pretty much it for this email, remember Christ loves you and he knows you personally. He Knows you and your struggles more than everyone else and he wants to help you. I know that to be true.
