Hello Again

Hi Elder Penrod,


How is mission life treating you? Are you still enjoying the area? What new things have you learned about Poulsbo? What new things have you learned about your companion? Did you eat your birthday cake? Artichokes?


Not much has happened with us.


Curtis is wrestling his final tournament JV State today. Then he will have a 2 week break before spring wrestling starts. I'm excited to watch him. I will write you again and let you know how he did.


Cameron finished his chess club. They didn't have a tournament this year but they had a celebration party with Mountain Dew, freeze dried skittles, and chess shaped cookies. He is also getting a bit of a mustache so I need to get him a razor


Bethany is doing really well in math. Her teacher says she is really quiet but once she gets the concept she is good. She is also playing with her microphone on your computer. There is an app called podcastle. It allows you to create tracks and recordings. It also has sounds already loaded on it. Her favorites are the explosion ones and the one with someone saying "nope, nope, nope*


Dad had an eventful week. He found out the pump that is down the deep hole in the shop was stuck in the mud and burning up so he pulled it out of the hole and unfortunately lost his phone in the process. We spent the next couple hours trying to fish it out. There were a couple times he tried to convince me that he could just fit down there and fish it out... I wouldn't let him so it is still down the hole so he will not be on messenger this week.


Well, I hope you are doing well and I am excited for I talk to you tomorrow and find out what you have been up to.

Easter And Such

Hi Elder Penrod, I hope that you are doing well. I probably won't have much to talk about since we spoke to you on Sunday. How are you doing? How is your week going so far? How is your companion? How are your friends doing? We had our usual Easter Egg Hunt at Lisa's on Saturday. It was fun and they were able to convince Beth and Cameron to hunt for eggs with the promise of vending machine money . It was fun to see Rylen (Liam's boy) and Ethan hunt around for eggs. It sounds like Rylan is going to be a big brother in November. Josh Burger's wife is also expecting, they will be having a boy in September. So lots of new babies on the way. Yesterday and today the deck guy has been here at the house installing our deck. I am so excited to have it, I think it will look great! We just have to figure out how we are going to barricade the dog in until the fence can be attached to the backyard. Some Friends And Some Foes (But Not Really Because We Love Everyone)

The area has finally started to get some activity now. We've been keeping some lessons going with our friend and we have some good fellowship with that. She likes attending church and the ward activities so that's good. Saturday we got bashed. She was very nice though, but really did not believe in the Book of Mormon and told us it was of Satan. Right after that we visited a drunk lady who wanted a prayer, sounds familiar, but this time it wasn't too weird. She said we were awesome and what we do is good which was nice. Transfers are coming and I'll be getting a new companion so Elder Higbee will be leaving. I'll miss him actually he's been a pretty good companion even though he's a bit trunky.
