Elder Penrod
Hi Elder Penrod,
How are you? How is the companionship? Are you staying busy? Anymore scenic jaunts to the hiking trails nearby?
This week we have made progress on the home, just slight but we have determined what we are going to be moving forward on so that is good. We have the HVAC guy scheduled and the decking guy scheduled to do their work. We have most of what we need to do the siding, except a little hiccup. The trim they gave us at Lansing is the wrong trim so we won't be moving forward on that atter all. Some other fun things about the week:
Dad is officially called as the Ward Mission Leader along side Bro Smedley. That will be an awesome duo right there. Can you imagine the lessons they will give!?!
Beth and I went to the Wahlquist Musical "Freaky Friday" based on the musical version that Disney did. It was a lot of fun and your cousin Kaylee Marsh and Kate Perkins were in it and they did a fantastic job. It was fun to see and Beth's friend Liberty was in the stage crew, so that was really fun cheering on the stage crew.
Cameron has been quiet this week and staying under the radar but he has been so helpful, alvays willing to walk the dog of help me one way or another. I think Riley Jones is becoming attached to him going over there, because he goes over almost every week now, haha. I don't blame him, Cameron is just always so friendly and fun.
Curtis had his well child check and was not thrilled that the doctor told him that he is about done growing. He tried to get the doctor to commit to a couple more inches but the doctor wouldn't budge. He also had the doctor look at his back since it has been bothering him for awhile now and just isn't getting better. Turns out that he has pars fractures on his L5 lumbar and that he will need to take a break from wrestling to let them heal. He wasn't too thrilled about hearing that news, especially since he was planning on wrestling in a toumament this last Saturday. But, the good news is that he took that break opportunity to go and ask a girl to prom. Guess who? I will let him share that with you tomorrow.
I am in North Carolina right now for a Space conference. Not that space, the other space. So, tomorrow it will be a three way call, haha. I am not sure what the conference will be like so I am hoping I can get away and chat with you at that time.
This week we were learning the song Because by Shawna Edwards with the Primary kids. It was a bit on the rough side since no one in the room was familiar with it, not even the teachers but I truly love the message of the song. how much the Savior really cares about us and because he loves us, he did so many amazing things for us, even died for each one of us and was resurrected so that we too can be resurrected. I am hoping that if anything they will leam from the song how much there Savior loves them.
I hope that all is going well with you. I hope that you are looking forward to this weekend in hearing the prophet and apostles speak and feeling the spirit.
I love you tons, keep up the good work! I think you are doing amazing things! Sally loves your emails and how genuine you are and how you always leave with something you have learned that week.
It will be worth it!
Love,
Mom
