Service, Service, And More Service
P-Day is on a Monday this week because they are having transfers tomorrow. I am going to a new area. I am going to be in The Lacey Zone in Mckenna so we'll see how that goes next week.
We had an awesome lesson with Chinh yesterday and honestly the only reason we didn't invite to baptism is because we are waiting to see how committed his mom will be. But it was definitely cool to see him progress this transfer. It gives me a lot of hope to hear about how he reminds his mom to pray and that he loves going to church. He told us a bunch of the stories he liked from the Book of Mormon. Kids are cool sometimes.
At church yesterday, one of the primary leaders introduced me to this man who just kind of showed up to the building, said "hi" and told him that I was glad he was here. And then I turned to get back to my companion because he was busy talking to somebody when suddenly something told me "don't you dare walk away from him". So I went back to talk to him some more and I asked why he came. He is a member. He told me pretty much his life story and all the trials and things he's been through and why he sort of left the church. fee told me that he got a call from one of the members that moming and he saw it as a sign that he should come back (because it was). He talked my ear off until the meeting started. I don't know what the future has in store for him, but I am glad he was able to be listened to.
The service never stops!! It feels like this whole week has been service again. We helped move wooden flooring for this guy who owned a skating rink that got taken down. It was heavy and tedious, but he had some music playing so it was kind of fun. He's not actually our friend, he's Silverdale 1st's, but I think he'll be getting taught by them.
Things I learned in this area: Prayer works and it's awesome, always remember who you are, don't forget to say hi, simple compliments brighten peoples lives and you can pretty much air fry everything.
That's pretty much it. I'm going to sound cheesy in this one, but I'm actually excited to see what this next area has coming.
Love you all
