I'm Still Alive And Well

Sorry I didn't write these last two weeks. It has been a busy two P-Days full of travel and too many areas with no interenet connection. The Service keeps coming. I thought poulsbo had a lot, but I was wrong. I have had a service almost every day these three weeks I've been in Mckenna.


Elder Todd D. Christofferson came and talked to our mission. I think he had a talk planned, but the whole meeting kind of became a big QnA, I think the spirit had other plans. Alot of what we learned from that conference is that we should always rely on the spirit in our works. I kind of liked that. Elder Phillips gave a great testimony on how we should make sure that our testimonies are built on a firm foundation; that is Jesus Christ. Helaman 5:12.


We did some service this older Gentleman named Ken. We asked him after the service if he wanted to leam more about the Book of Mormon he had. He hesitated, but said "sure". Tums out he's also good friends with some members in our ward. So have good fellowship and so on.


Well I'm running out of time so iil stop here. I'l wnte a better email next week, had to write one this week though.

Easter And Such

Hi Elder Penrod, I hope that you are doing well. I probably won't have much to talk about since we spoke to you on Sunday. How are you doing? How is your week going so far? How is your companion? How are your friends doing? We had our usual Easter Egg Hunt at Lisa's on Saturday. It was fun and they were able to convince Beth and Cameron to hunt for eggs with the promise of vending machine money . It was fun to see Rylen (Liam's boy) and Ethan hunt around for eggs. It sounds like Rylan is going to be a big brother in November. Josh Burger's wife is also expecting, they will be having a boy in September. So lots of new babies on the way. Yesterday and today the deck guy has been here at the house installing our deck. I am so excited to have it, I think it will look great! We just have to figure out how we are going to barricade the dog in until the fence can be attached to the backyard. Some Friends And Some Foes (But Not Really Because We Love Everyone)

The area has finally started to get some activity now. We've been keeping some lessons going with our friend and we have some good fellowship with that. She likes attending church and the ward activities so that's good. Saturday we got bashed. She was very nice though, but really did not believe in the Book of Mormon and told us it was of Satan. Right after that we visited a drunk lady who wanted a prayer, sounds familiar, but this time it wasn't too weird. She said we were awesome and what we do is good which was nice. Transfers are coming and I'll be getting a new companion so Elder Higbee will be leaving. I'll miss him actually he's been a pretty good companion even though he's a bit trunky.
